Dr. Arthur Hill, MD, FACC, FACS

Dr. Arthur Hill is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and Surgical Director of the Cardiac ICU at UCSF. His interests in patient care include general thoracic, adult cardiac surgery, and thoracic trauma surgery. His expertise includes adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, coronary surgery, valve repair, aortic surgery, and noncardiac thoracic surgery. He joined University of California San Francisco in 2000 and is currently Full Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UCSF. Dr. Hill earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in General Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles and Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. He completed a research fellowship at The Cardiovascular Research Institute at UCSF and an Advanced Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Hill is Board Certified in the America Board of Surgery, The American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and the American Board of Surgical Critical Care. He is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Chest Physicians. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, American Heart Association, California Medical Association, and American Medical Association.
